Billing Information

Water Utility Bills are generated monthly. Actual meter reads will be taken and billed monthly. Water charges are based on usage. Our current water rate is $26.50/1,000 gallons. A monthly operational fee of $30.91 per curbstop is also implemented. Water Utility bills are due within 25 days following the billing period. If not paid within that time frame, a 2% interest charge is added to your account. If your water bill is not paid within the specified time by way of a shut-off notice, your water will be turned off and not turned back on until payment is received in full along with a service charge fee. Water Utility bills can be paid by Cheque, E-transfer, Internet/Telephone Banking, or by Pre-Authorized Debit.

Selling Property

When you sell property that has a Rural Water connection, we request that you notify our office as soon as possible. If you have a capital loan on this property, that loan must be paid in full prior to the date of transfer. The Utility may also complete an inspection to ensure that your system conforms to regulatory requirements. A final meter reading will be taken at the time of inspection. Please allow at least 2 weeks notice before your property is transferred to the new owner. The new owner will be required to sign a subscriber agreement with the Utility.

Truckfill

Our truckfill stations located at the Laniwci (map), Glenmaur (map) and Bergheim (map) pumphouses provide non-potable water. Water quality is NOT suitable to be used for drinking water OR to be treated for drinking. Absolutely NO direct filling of chemical containers or spraying equipment. The rate for this water is $27.70/1000 gallons. Please contact our office at 253-3364 to set up an account to access these stations. A $20.00 one-time charge is applicable for each new account.

Sustainability Fund

Highway 41 Water Utility has implemented a Sustainability Fund to provide a reserve for large equipment or line repairs in the future. The sustainability fund is charged as follows: $2.00 per curbstop, $0.25/1000 gallons to all regular water subscribers, and $0.40/1000 gallons to truckfill subscribers.
